MSc Thesis on Salitre Formation
Robin van der Velde and Mathijs van de Ven have submitted their Thesis on the Salitre Formation (Central Brazil). Excellent work: Mathijs focusing on the structures and Robin looking in detail at the fluid circulating along the veins. Great work from my last two MSc students at the VU Amsterdam. geoMOOC, after two weeks
The second week of the geoMOOC is coming to an end; the third module will opn on Tuesday September 6th. A lot of energy and interesting feed back!
The geoMOOC starts!
It took a lot of work but finally the geoMOOC starts on Tuesday August 23. It is an introduction to Earth Sciences aimed at everybody with a passion for the Earth! The MOOC is offered through the edx.org platform. Check the link clicking here. Fractured carbonate reservoirs - Brazil
just finished a nice week of field work in the Jandaira Formation (NE Brazil) with Hilario Bezerra, Kevin Bisdom, Quinten Boersma, Luc Kroon, Cristiane Mendezes. We have now fracture data from the rift axis and the two shoulder. Ready for a unique synthesis of fracture patterns and rifting at the besin sacle!
TUDelft wins the IBA European section competition
During two exciting days in Prague, the TUdelft team has won the European section competition and is ready to leave to Calgary!
